It’s definitely a good idea to live on campus your first year. Living with five people has its challenges. At first, it was hard because I have introverted tendencies. I’m not really a huge introvert but there are times I just want to be alone, and, when you live with five people you don't get to be alone. But that’s actually kind of come to be a blessing, too. Because, I think, when I’m having a hard day — and maybe if I do want to be alone — if I really want to be alone — if I go in my bedroom and close the door, people respect that. But more often than not, there’s someone there if you need to be with someone or you want to vent, or something like that. There’s always someone there, too. So it’s kind of nice to always know, “Oh, I’ll go home and there’s probably going to be one or two people there when I get there.” So you’re not really bored, ever. There’s always someone to be with. Two of my six roommates are still my roommates today. They have become my best friends and I wouldn’t have met them without living with them.
