The biggest adjustment for me in college was figuring out what I really did want to settle on for my first major. My freshman year, I entered into the engineering program in biomedical engineering. I set ahead with this idea that, “This is what I picked, this is what I need to do.” But once I got to school, I realized it wasn’t quite the right fit for me. So I think the biggest adjustment was just figuring out what was going to make me happiest and what was the best academic program for me. Also, coming to the realization that I’m a freshman, it’s okay to change my major, and it’s okay to try something new and do something that maybe wasn’t in the plan when I started.
